Tagged!

I don't even know what this is, but I can conform and figure it out!
Well, I guess I was tagged on March 14th, but I didn't see it until I was trying to copy the pictures I didn't have (which didn't work).

Ten Years Ago:
1. Had my last baby, Leiana, what a precious gift!!!
2. Played with Austin, he was a toddler.
3. Lived in Fairfield, CA and loved the weather in sunny CA.
4. Stamped more!!! and scrapbooked, those were the days...why can't I do that now? Oh yeah, no room.
5. Preparing to have my 1st child graduate from high school
!!!

My To Do List today after teaching seminary at 6:00am:
1. Return audio book Eclipse to library and go to Book Fair at Elementary School (last day of course!)
2. Dropping off "educational field trip requests" to all 3 schools for our trip next weekend to NYC to see Yankees play in their stadium for the final season.
3. See my husband tonight, he comes in from Raleigh for the weekend and attend the high school musical tonight "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".
4. Maybe make dinner, That's a Shocker! No baseball game tonight.
5. Prepare for substituting Relief Society lesson on Sunday.

Things I Would do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
1. Finish this house so I wouldn't be living in construction
2. Buy a house for us in Raleigh
3. Buy a condo in Hawaii for family and friends to visit
4. Give to the church and missionary work
5. Give to the community, somehow lower taxes or something along that line.

3 Bad Habits, this is so revealing!
Get mad, selfish, eat too much

Places Where I have lived: Florida, Texas, Utah, California, NJ, NC

Jobs I've had: Jack-in-the-box fast food chain, Handy Andy Grocery Store - Office Teller, Law Firm Temp. Secretary, Conoco Oil-temp secretary, organized Seismic maps, Cafe at BYU, Norton's grocery store serving ice cream, Mail order books, Telephone sales.

Okay, so I hope that wasn't negative. That was soul searching.

Joe's Friend was Baptized

Joe has really felt the marvelous joy that comes from sharing the gospel. His friend, Megan, has made a lot of changes in her life to accept the gospel and be baptized this last Thursday, Feb. 7th. Joe was able perform the baptism and Tony confirmed her yesterday, Sunday at church. Hallelujah was the chorus sung in heaven as the baptism took place. The room was filled with family, friends, missionaries, and members of our ward. It was awesome.

BYUI

Joe was accepted to BYUI on Friday. He still has some decisions to make about school and the logistics on where and when before his mission. He is waiting on BYUI to find out what track they put him on. He has an audition for ECU, Eastern Carolina University, on March 1st for a music performance scholarship. We will keep you posted.

Austin and Basketball

This is the first year Austin played basketball. He has participated in wrestling for the past 4 years and he wanted to do basketball this year. We enjoyed watching him play and learn more. He loved it. As you can see he was one of the taller boys, so he played center. He said it was more fun that wrestling. I don't know....Mom enjoyed watching him wrestle....and play basketball. I personally don't like basketball as well because the referee swings the game. I'll just have to live with it. He is so cute. He's the one on the left. Ha

Overwhelmed in January

Okay! I have a new assignment. Yes, it is teaching seminary. I've only been teaching for 1 week, but I am totally engrossed in the scriptures. I was probably given this opportunity because Heavenly Father wanted me to read the scriptures more. He sure began tutoring me to teach Seminary by calling me to primary valiant 11 class first, He sent me to the scriptures there, and teaching the webelos during the week at the same time. Then, I was called as the Primary First counselor, while still completing the other two callings until Christmas. I then was released to take this assignment. I have already felt the spirit working with me and I feel so blessed to be teaching the youth. I am grateful that I am able to bear my testimony to them, especially to my sons, Sam and Joe.

Thanksgiving Holiday

It was so fun to go to Raleigh and see April, Bill, and Mazie. We had a great time. April wanted to cook Thanksgiving Dinner for the first time at her house. It was wonderful. She had all the favorites! We did Black Friday shopping for Christmas. I am looking forward to not doing it next year. I say that, but I probably will do it anyway. It was great seeing Michelle. We wished Justin could have come to Raleigh also. We also missed Kelli and Matt, and Brian and Heather. We can't wait until the Christmas Holidays.

Moving Sure Stinks!

We have our house up for sale, and that is sad enough. The closer it gets to the time we are leaving, the sadder I get.
I just returned from YW Camp. It was so awesome!!! I loved every minute of it. The YCLs and some of the leaders were able to do COPE course at Tuckahoe. We only did 3 things. We did the rope net, the swinging rope climb up to the 40' high log that we walked across and did a free fall down hooked to the rope, and the zip line across the ravine. We found out what we were made of and if we could do it. We shared a lot of good times. They shared their hearts in their testimony meetings. I bawled for a long time after the testimony meetings. I am really going to miss these YW and all of our friends.
Everything I see I say to myself I am going to miss this. I know Heavenly Father has another mission for our family to fulfill in NC and I am ready to do it, but it is hard!!! I am so grateful for meeting all of you and loving you, you have really put footprints on my heart!

Joe The Eagle!

Joe Became An Eagle Scout

At the Court of Honor on May 27, 2007, Todd Platts came for a special presentation. Joe passed his rigorous Board of Review with all his previous scout leaders attending on April 29, 2007. We had to squeeze in the Court of Honor during Memorial Weekend as every other weekend was filled with activities. He has sure come a long way. We are so grateful to all of his leaders that helped him to come to this point. We are so grateful to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!!!

Birthday Fun

We finally celebrated my birthday. Every Sunday, we had something going on with church, so we had to slide in my birthday celebration with our family any time we could. We had brownies. I love mint brownies. Tony doesn't like them, so half batch was regular and half batch was Mint, Yum!

We are going to be catching up on all those things we should have been doing, like chores, cleaning rooms, scout papers and merit badges, service projects with the scoutmaster, family time, etc. You know, all those things Mom wants you to do. Well, we will see what actually happens. Have a great day together. I hope you don't have to go out in this!!!

These boys are such hams. They don't need acting lessons.
